In which areas of my business can you be of assistance?
Although
we are best known for preparing loan and/or investor proposals, almost any area of finance and accounting in which you need expertise is
available from our company. Give us a call to see if we can meet your objective.
How
do you charge for your services?
Generally, we price our services by the hour or by the project.
We never charge based on a percentage of the funds obtained. In fact, a percentage of the loan method is disallowed
by most lenders. In the case of SBA or USDA B&I loans, we must all sign off on a statement that such a method was
not used.
If we use your services, are we guaranteed approval of our loan?
Absolutely not. But, what we can guarantee is to present your company in the best possible light for loan approval.
The old saying "you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" may be applicable here. We can generally
determine the probability of your loan approval very early in the project stage. We do not want you to pay for services
that have an unlikely outcome. As well, our reputation depends on producing quality loan proposals.
How long does it take to prepare our financing proposal?
The proposal should be a reflection
of your own business plan along with your assumptions of where the company is headed. Therefore, we must spend adequate
time learning your business in order to develop your proposal. If you can give us sufficient time to develop this information,
we can generally complete the proposal in two to three weeks.
Can't we just buy business
plan software and do it ourselves?
Usually not for several reasons. First of all, off the
shelf software is a "one size fits all" kind of mentality. We develop each loan package from scratch using
software such as Microsoft Excel to develop all the accounting and financial data so that each proposal is exactly tailored
to your business. We have not found any business plan software that does the job. Their software is full of colorful
graphs and charts, but lack the raw data and individual planning needed by most lenders. Plus, you must be skilled
as an accountant to properly prepare the plan. Most businesses know their product or service completely, but seldom
do they have the accounting accumen to prepare this type of plan.
Do you offer accounting
services for our business?
We offer accounting system set-up and individual training to accomplish
your accounting in-house. Often, we are asked to review the accounting output monthly or annually before the information
goes to your CPA to prepare taxes. If you have special needs, give us a call to see if we can be of assistance.
